Components of Home Inspection
Exterior
The inspector will examine the foundation of the home and the overall construction. An exterior inspection covers the roof, gutter system. It will also check surrounding landscape such as walkways, driveways, steps, decks, fencing and patios, etc and whether the landscape allows for proper drainage.
Interior
This part of the inspection covers everything from the chimney to skylights to the attic, basement, and walls, floors, crawlspaces and ceilings. Your inspector will point out any issues they find and include them in the home inspection report. Common issues include water damage, loose plaster, damaged fixtures, cracks, and more…
Radon Inspections
Radon is safety measure you shouldn’t overlook in your home. It can be completed at the time of a Home Inspection or as a singular standalone ancillary service.
What is Radon?

Dineen Home Inspections is now offering Sewer Camera Inspections. It’s important to know what your homes pipe drains look like from the inside!
Sewer Scope Inspection
A Sewer Camera Inspection can identify if a home has drain lines that have orangeburg or cast iron which can suffer from root damage, offset pipes, belly’s, rust, degradation, scaling and collapsed pipes. Ultimately, this can cause backups or sewer smells in the home. I will typically access this pipe from a clean out in the basement but if there is no existing cleanout, then I will access the sewer line from the sewer vent pipe on the roof.

Whether you are dealing with your brand-new home or your existing home, that you simply need checked out for any concerns, I will be there with you every step of the way. When you give me a call, I will collect preliminary information before scheduling a time, at your convenience, that I can come to your home and walk through, with you, and explain to you along the way exactly what I see. I want you to understand that this is a cohesive process, and I am happy to teach you as much as you want to learn about your property and home inspection as a whole.
After completing the walk through with you, I will sit down to discuss the condition of your home at that time. In doing so, I will help you to prioritize anything that needs to be taken care of immediately. As I confer all of this with you, I will also deliver to you a detailed and user-friendly report, in both print and PDF (emailed to you), that documents everything in our inspection. This ensures that you remain aware of all that was discussed as well as gives you a reference piece when you address anything that was uncovered. With the delivery of the report, I am committed to ensuring that you are in full understanding of everything and welcome any further questions on the inspection. Should you see something in the report that you do not understand or feel was not fully addressed, please give me a call.
